Branding Challenges

I was helping Anna Jinja show with their new branding designs, for me, it was a challenge to clearly identifying the podcast’s tone, themes, and audience to create a cohesive and authentic visual identity. Crafting a versatile logo that works across different platforms and merchandise, while maintaining clarity at all sizes. I need to create a logo that fits the theme and is recognizable. Designing products that fans genuinely want to buy, often by tying merchandise to the podcast’s unique content. Managing the logistics of creating high-quality merch and coordinating production. How to maintain open communication with clients is a challenge, I have to make sure the brand reflects their vision and be prepared for some trial and error along the way.

⬤ 02. Experience

Branding within the University guidelines

The first step was diving into the podcast itself. I listened to several episodes to understand the tone, themes, and personality of the show. Anna Jinja Show has a unique vibe– it’s insightful storytelling, and capturing this in the branding was essential. I spent time discussing with the hosts about their vision, target audience, and the key message they wanted to convey. This initial discovery phase was crucial for ensuring the design would resonate with their listeners.

Once I had a few rough concepts, I refined them, narrowing down the options based on feedback from the podcast hosts. The goal was to create something timeless yet adaptable, which could evolve as the podcast grows. After a few rounds of revisions, we settled on a logo that felt modern and fun, with clean lines that looked great on everything from business cards to social media icons.

⬤ 03. Process

The Anna Jinja Show Project

The design process for the Anna Jinja Show branding involved several key stages, beginning with a deep understanding of the podcast’s tone, themes, and target audience. After defining the brand’s identity, I explored various logo concepts and refined them based on feedback from the hosts. Once the logo was finalized, the focus shifted to designing merchandise that would resonate with fans while maintaining the brand’s aesthetic. Each product, from t-shirts to hats, was carefully considered to ensure the designs were both functional and visually appealing. Throughout the process, collaboration with the clients was crucial for refining concepts and aligning with their vision. The final result was a cohesive branding package that captured the essence of the show, ready to engage listeners and expand its reach.

A special thanks to the hosts of the Anna Jinja Show for her trust and collaboration, also thank my instructor Mark for his help for improve my working skills and communication skills, making this creative journey both rewarding and successful, I have learned a lot through the process.
