Case Stydy Identity November 1, 2024

Solid Ground School

Solid Ground School is an innovative educational community dedicated to fostering hands-on, experiential learning that inspires curiosity, creativity, and a deep connection to the natural world. Rooted in the values of collaboration, inclusivity, and environmental stewardship, the school’s mission is to cultivate a love for learning while nurturing students’ growth as compassionate and engaged citizens.

Our team partnered with Solid Ground to revitalize their online presence by designing a refreshed homepage that captures the essence of their mission and values. The updated site highlights the school’s unique approach to education and includes the addition of a dedicated donation page, providing supporters with an easy way to contribute to their impactful work. Additionally, incorporating a new donation page into the refreshed design, requiring seamless integration with the existing branding to ensure a unified and consistent user experience.

⬤ 01. Challenges

Branding Challenges

The biggest challenge I faced with this project was designing a cohesive and professional brand identity for Solid Ground School while working within the constraints of Google Sites. The platform’s limited customization options required innovative solutions to create a polished and engaging design that aligned with the school’s mission and values.

The project deliverables included a comprehensive branding ecosystem: a new Home Page, Donation page, Information Page and Staff Page. These components were compiled into a detailed style guide to ensure consistency across all platforms and help stakeholders visualize the school’s new identity.

Despite the challenges posed by Google Sites, the project successfully delivered a unified and impactful brand that reflects Solid Ground School’s unique vision and provides a strong foundation for its future growth.

⬤ 02. Experience

Branding within Solid Ground School

In developing the refreshed website for Solid Ground, I carefully considered and evaluated the organization’s prior branding elements, such as its logos, color schemes, and font choices. By building on the foundation of Solid Ground’s prior branding, the new website achieves a cohesive and refreshed identity that honors its roots while supporting its future growth.

This process was both challenging and essential, integrating these updates across various website sections, while ensuring everything felt cohesive and purposeful. Identity and ensuring the refreshed website remained authentic to its mission.

⬤ 03. Process

Fulfilling the mission for Solid School Ground

At the end of the semester-long project, we were proud to deliver a polished and finalized website for Solid Ground, including a sleek, user-friendly home page, cohesive typography, and a thoughtfully curated color palette. A significant achievement of the project was the successful implementation of a dedicated donation page, laying the groundwork for future campaigns and ongoing contributions. This page was thoughtfully designed to ensure a seamless and secure donation process, with intuitive navigation, compelling photo gallery, and transparent information about how contributions will make an impact. By integrating this feature, Solid Ground is now well-equipped to engage supporters and foster meaningful connections with donors, ensuring long-term sustainability for its mission.
